Head of Support
Julia joined Angels in February 2021 as a Client Success Manager for The ValPal Network. She joins us with bags of experience in a range of areas – from IT to paramedicine.
She went to university twice. First to the University of Roehampton to read English Literature and History, during which she started volunteering for St John Ambulance and realised she wanted to be a paramedic.
So, after graduating, she started all over again at the University of Surrey where she studied Paramedic Practice. She graduated with a First, but then decided her career actually lay elsewhere. She spent two years working in the IT department for Specsavers before she joined us (insert ‘Should’ve stayed at Specsavers joke here’!), and has also previously worked as a medic for various London music venues and as a Divemaster for PADI, both in London and for a long summer in Tenerife.
Away from work, she’s a big foodie and a bit of an adrenaline junkie, from bouldering, scuba and freediving, to more unusual and adventurous pursuits such as fire breathing, aerial performance and trekking jungles in Thailand. She even danced in the 2012 London Olympic opening ceremony.
Having taken a sabbatical for her dream holiday - exploring South America from the very bottom to the very top - Julia now dreams of driving a Tuk Tuk around Sri Lanka, and a road trip of the Nordic countries.
